# Getting help

Where to go when something is missing, broken or confusing.

## Inside the platform

The **Need help?** button gives tips for the screen you are on. On an assistant or a Toolbox element it gives tips for that specific one, which is usually more useful than a general answer.

## Your administrator

Most things you cannot do yourself are things your organisation's **administrator** can do. They set up the platform for your organisation, decide who has access to what, and build the assistants and Toolbox elements you use.

Ask your administrator when:

| Situation | Why it is theirs |
| ---------------------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| A screen or menu item described here is missing | Access is granted by administrators. |
| You cannot sign in, or your account seems empty | Accounts and rights are managed by them. |
| An assistant does not know something it should | Its documents are managed by them. |
| An assistant gives a wrong or outdated answer | Almost always an out-of-date document. |
| You need an assistant or element that does not exist | They build them. |
| You want a feature switched on: file upload, voice, projects, handover | Configured per assistant. |
| Your older chats or saved results have disappeared | Your organisation may remove them automatically after a set period. |

{% hint style="success" %}
Reporting a wrong answer is genuinely useful, and most people do not bother. Send your administrator the question you asked, the answer you got, and what it should have said. That is usually enough for them to find the document at fault, and fixing it improves the answer for everyone.
{% endhint %}

If you do not know who your administrator is, ask whoever gave you your account, or your line manager.

## Your account manager

Some things sit above your administrator. For those, the right contact is your organisation's **account manager**.

That includes anything about your organisation's plan or what it includes, features that are not available to your organisation at all, questions about hosting, data processing or compliance, contracts and invoicing, and requests for capabilities the platform does not currently offer.

Your administrator will normally be the one to raise these, so start with them.

## Before you ask

A few details save a round trip:

* **What you were trying to do**, and which assistant or element you were using.
* **Exactly what you typed**, and exactly what came back.
* **Any message on screen**, word for word.
* **When it happened.**

## Things to try first

| Problem                        | Try                                                                 |
| ------------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| An answer was cut off | Ask it to continue, or ask for a shorter answer. |
| The response failed | **Try again**. |
| Answers have drifted off-topic | **New chat** and ask again. |
| The screen looks wrong | Reload the page. |
| The microphone does not work | Check your browser has permission. |
| A file will not attach | Check the format and size. Hover the paperclip for what is allowed. |
