# Signing in

Getting into the platform for the first time, and getting back in afterwards.

## Your first sign-in

Your administrator creates your account and sends you a link. Which link you get depends on how they set it up:

* **A link to create your account**: open it, choose a password, and you are in. Your e-mail address is already filled in.
* **A link to sign in**: your account already exists and your administrator has given you a password separately.

The platform does not send these links itself. Your administrator does. If you were told an account exists but nothing arrived, ask them to send it again.

## How to sign in

The sign-in page shows the methods your organisation allows. You may see:

* **Your e-mail address and a password.**
* **A button to sign in with your existing work account**, so you do not need a separate password.

Your organisation decides which of these are available, so your options may be fewer than a colleague's at another organisation. If a method you expected is missing, your organisation has not enabled it.

## Forgotten password

Choose **Forgot password?** on the sign-in page, enter your address, and follow the instructions in the e-mail you receive.

If you are told no account exists with that address, either you are using a different address from the one your account was created with, or the account was never completed. Ask your administrator.

## Linking a sign-in method

If you first created your account with a password and later try to sign in with your work account, the platform notices the address already exists and offers to **link** the two. Confirm with the method you already have, and afterwards either will work.

## Signing out

Your name at the bottom of the menu has **Logout**.

## Common problems

| What you see                                       | What it means                                                                          |
| -------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Login failed** after entering a password         | The address or password is wrong. Try **Forgot password?**                             |
| **Login method not allowed**                       | Your organisation does not permit the method you used. Try another one on the page.    |
| **You do not have access to this organization**    | Your account exists but is not attached to this organisation. Ask your administrator.  |
| The sign-in succeeded but the platform looks empty | Your account has no rights yet. Ask your administrator to add you to the right groups. |
