# Finding your way around

A short tour of the interface: the menu, the parts of a screen, and the handful of controls that appear everywhere.

## The main menu

Everything in the platform is reached from the menu on the left. You will not see all of it. The menu only shows what your rights allow, so a colleague's menu may be longer or shorter than yours.

| Menu item | What you find there |
| --------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Starting point** | Your home screen: shortcuts to the assistants and tools you use, and anything waiting for you. |
| **Inbox** | Incoming messages with prepared replies, waiting for someone to review and send. |
| **AI assistants** | Your assistants, recent chats, projects, and the settings behind them. |
| **AI Toolbox** | Ready-made tools for recurring tasks, plus anything you have saved. |
| **Knowledge base** | The documents your assistants can draw on, and how they are organised. |
| **Reports** | Usage figures for your organisation. |
| **Organization management** | Organisation-wide configuration. Administrators only.                                          |
| **User management** | People, groups, roles and rights. Administrators only. |
| **Secret keys** | Stored credentials used by connections to other systems. Administrators only. |
| **Subscriptions**           | Your plan.                                                                                     |

You can collapse the menu with **Collapse navigation** to give the page more room, and expand it again with **Expand navigation**. The choice is remembered on your device.

Items with a small arrow expand into a sub-menu. **AI assistants**, for example, opens into **Assistants**, **Recent chats**, **Direct Chat**, **Themes**, **Tools**, **Quality control** and **Projects**.

## Common controls

A few things behave the same way everywhere:

* **Need help?** opens a short list of practical tips written for the screen you are on. On an assistant or a Toolbox element it gives tips for that specific one.
* **Search** appears at the top of most overview screens and filters the list as you type.
* **Copy** copies a result to your clipboard. Hold `Shift` while clicking to copy it as Markdown instead of plain text.
* **Download as Word** saves a generated document to your computer.
* The microphone button lets you dictate instead of type. Your browser will ask for permission to use the microphone the first time.
* Sorting and view density (**Roomy view** / **Condensed view**) are available on long lists.

{% hint style="info" %}
If you change something and try to leave the page, the platform warns you about unsaved changes before you lose them.
{% endhint %}

## Your account

Your name at the bottom of the menu opens your personal options, including [Preferences](/en/for-everyone/preferences.md), where you set your interface language, and **Logout**.

## If a screen is missing

If something described in this documentation is not in your menu, it is almost always one of two things: your plan does not include it, or your administrator has not granted you the rights for it. Neither is something you can change yourself. See [Getting help](/en/for-everyone/getting-help.md).
